Danny van Belle has been the golden winner several times in the World Festival of Underwater Pictures in Antibes, France.

2004 - Golden prize in Category B - "Secrets of the sea - The world of Gastropods"
2007 - Golden prize in Category B - "Windows of life"
2008 - Golden prize in Category C - "Lembeh weird and wonderful"

On 11 July - 9 September 2009 Danny Van Belle held the 1st HUGYCUP 2009 International Underwater Photography and Video Competition here at Divers Lodge Lembeh.
